Construction is underway for the Southern Living Showcase Home in Dorset Park! As with every Castle Home, green building techniques are being implemented from the start in order to fulfill our goal to reduce environmental impact. Beginning with smart, environmentally conscious design, this new home construction will be utilizing green techniques and durable products to increase energy and water efficiencies.
Lot Design, Preparation & Development
In order to minimize environmental intrusion during on-site construction, Castle carefully planned out how best to utilize the plot. An important aspect of new green construction is conserving existing on-site vegetation. By taking steps to protect and preserve viable trees on the property, we are able to not only improve the finished home’s curb appeal with mature greenery but also aid in the lot’s ability to deal with rain. Careful planning to manage storm water helps to minimize soil disturbance and erosion, a problem no homeowner wants to be faced with.
“Green building embraces the future of our world,” reflects Alan Looney, founder and president of Castle Homes. “By utilizing advanced green building elements, we are able to ensure healthier, everyday living for the Castle customer while reducing environmental impact.”
Castle Homes is on the forefront of green building in the Middle Tennessee area making smarter building choices which ensure healthier everyday living, lower-maintenance homes and houses which are in demand in the resale market.
